Extempo, again.

Last time, I was able to handle extempo in a Business cup. In the past, I was able to do the same thing with Science-related, and Nationalism-related extempo. But this time around, things won't be so easy on me.

Why?

Basically, the theme is centered upon responsible parenthood. Now what on Earth can one speak about responsible parenthood? what can one research about such a topic? I've done my part of the work in researching and my coach has really helped me a lot in structuring and making transitions but right at this very moment, the night before my competition, I am blank.... left without a definite point-of-view. One of the hard things about extempo is the fact that you won't have the foggiest idea on what question will pop up and that your coach may make you conditioned to do some lengthy talking but come competition time, you're alone. No memorized script to guide you.... just you and your scattered mind stocked with some research.

In other forms of speech, it premeditated. Planned. But in extempo and its more challenging sibling, Impromptu, things are fast. Thinking will be should be quick and reasonable. Now, I've been given to most challenging theme in my whole extempo experience.... Responsible parenthood.

It's challenging because when one talks about responsible parenthood it does not only involve facts but also experiences from my parents and other people's parents.... hahaiii..... I really hope to rise up to the occasion tomorrow. Because I really have to.
