Yellow Orange

What's the color of the sun during sunrise? yellow. during sunset? orange. contrary to Noynoy's claim that orange is a symbol of paglubog, i believe it's the symbol of conclusion. Everything comes to an end. Everything should have execution. More so that the presidency is the executive branch. More than the powers of veto and other executive priveleges, its primary concern is EXECUTION and no other man came close to this than Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay. That's the idea behind this yellow orange blog post. That Noynoy's Idealism shouldn't be all talk. That he needs a person that has already implemented several programs that have been tested and positively received by the people coupled with the recognition of even foreign countries. That politicians shouldn't be purely idealist.

Take Manny Villar's "Free Healthcare for all" Bullsh*t right? A developing country with third world educational allotment (2 percent of the national budget) aims for free healthcare which is a problem in developed countries like the US? Bullsh*t. It just can't be done.

It's simply idealist. Mar Roxas's pushing for more taxes for funding is also not fitting to our country. Basically because the taxes, generally don't return to the people. Disagree? Check out the nearest public hospital (does not apply if you live in Makati or may not apply when you live in a foreign place).

Now back to Binay.

He's my boss as he's the National President of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines, and I'm the National Representative during the Asia-Pacific Jam. I've worked with him during my stint and not once did this man ask for my support. Not once did any of his staff give any remark towards his political aspiration to be Vice President of the republic. It kinda hit me because he was like that and in youth forums, i did a lot of "iboto mo ako ha para chairman". of course it was with my very tenacious nature as a speaker but the thing is, i asked for support and i did not leave everything to my ability. Very much unlike binay.

He's also called rambotito not only because of his political will but because of his Uzi-toting efforts to retake the Manila hotel during the coup'detat attempt during 1986. He also did a lot for the Mt. Pinatubo Victims. A scout is brave? This dude has balls of steel.

During meetings in the National Board, I would find myself amused every time Mr. Castillo or Mr. Rasheed (the current Asia-pacific region chairman) would come into the meeting during recess binay would call them Kasins for endearment. Kasing-itim. He helped me to not get fooled by tv ads portraying white as beautiful and black as ugly. He influenced me into going against false stereotypes. Main reason why the early rekla blogs are on that topic.

Now, Let's talk about his capability to run the country as VPs should be in every way, capable of assuming the presidency. I'll start by saying that he's a World Mayor Awardee (top 4) under the standards of the people who conducted the contest in London. He's one of the world's best City Leaders. But you will argue:

we need a leader of a nation.

My reply is simple. A city, is in every way, a Nation. The problems which local government officials handle are as critical as those that confront a national government. A mayor is faced with problems that are faced by countries, and presidents. Crime prevention, drug addiction, infrastructure maintenance, unemployment, economic crisis. So there is no reason whatsoever that Binay can't proclaim that he already did what his comrades are still planning to do. It’s the cold truth.

I don't need to enumerate all the splendid things Binay has implemented for Makati.

Because as I enumerate, you'll have one excuse not to read it in full: Makati was already rich before Binay even got into position.
That, my friend, can only stem from ignorance.

So let me clarify, Makati has been recognized as the financial center since the 1970s which is before Binay got into the position. However let's have a little history lesson. EDSA, of which Binay took a very brave role in, occurred in February of 1986. at that time, the MUNICIPALITY of Makati was in DEBT.
To push that even further, Makati, as I put on caps, was a Municipality. It was during Binay's stint as Mayor (right after EDSA) that the city incurred a surplus a year after Makati has been entrusted to his leadership. He served consecutive terms and was the mayor during Makati transitioned from being a municipality to a City. The city that we know today.

Binay's claims of being poor was never falsified, was never questioned unlike that dude who swam in a sea of garbage but can afford to be sent to a private school from Grade school to High school.

His opponents aren't even in his league. Check out the Yellow's Ilustrado VP who may have a clean record but is paired with an average performance. Check out the Orange Lady who is an advocate for nature blah2xs and planting trees while her president is for cutting down trees to be made into houses. The other Yellow man who is the SCE chairman who preferred indulging in Black Propaganda to destroy Binay's Presidential candidate instead of looking into the SCE issue of the Orange man.

He doesn't give out shirts to the middle class students who didn't have a full taste of what Philippine poverty truly is.

He gives out Comics that are in the Local dialect. To appeal to those who don't know him. To those who don't have internet connection, radio or tv. To those who don't know Makati. to those who are repelled by that notion that Makati was already rich when Binay was its leader.

My vice-president is not an ilustrado. My vice-president knows exactly what he's talking about.

My Vice-president is Jejomar Binay.

It changed my political views tlg. I believe that every Filipino should be like this. Research muna bago haka-haka kesa dun sa mga nakikisali dahil sa may tshirt o dahil sikat ang kandidato nila. Well done AD3

yeah. that's what those numerous ads are for. If you don't take the liberty to know more about those people, they'll introduce themselves to you and of course, with that, you'll never know their negative works.

Usually, people support the famous candidates. (of course, FPJ and Erap have numerous supporters with FPJ cheated out of presidency and I can say he was cheated because PGMA said sorry on national tv in reaction to the allegations)But that shouldn't be the case in our elections. We should support the candidates who pass in our standards and have the highest chance of winning accrdng to polls.

para hindi mahati2x ang boto. kunwari gus2 mo talaga si Gordon pero si Noynoy ay llamado at ok lang na manalo siya para sa iyo. suportahan mo na lang si Noynoy kung ayaw mong manalo si villar. :D

i voted for binay. but really, what good can a vice president do in our system? such a waste of talent and skills huh? ahaha

never in the history of representative democracy that a vice president made a mark. unless he gets assigned as a cabinet member.

great if he may be, but as long as he is only a vice, he is just a spare-tire. nothing more. too bad.

vice-presidents almost always get a cabinet position. i think he'll be assigned in DILG. Noynoy will then be convinced to decentralize the giving of funds (greater percentage is given directly to local officials). So all mayors can be held directly responsible to the stuff happening in their place instead of blaming the national gov't for lack of funds.

i'm no political analyst but i think that's how he can best maximize his position (aside from teaching noynoy, who has been in legislative from congress to senate, the executive ropes).
